  I really like the sushi here, i usually get the salmon roll, yellowtail roll, and crunchy roll and an entree of pad thai to go. The manager and employees are very friendly and while I generally get my food to go the interior is very nice.

  This place was ok. My friend and I came here to get dinner and it seemed to be having a mild dinner rush. Upon entering, we were greeted by a male host and we seated quickly. A waitress came over soon after to take our drink orders and give us some time to look over the menu. Later, another male waiter came over to take our orders. I ordered 9 piece sashimi which was on their sashimi deluxe section. It would come with a soup and salad. I asked the gentleman what the yellowtail with jalapeno was and he couldnt tell me but said hed have the female waitress come over to explain.
  
  We sat there for about 20 minutes before our food came out. I had both my dishes brought out but no soup or salad. And i thought maybe theyd bring it out later. It wasn't until i finished both that i realized they never brought my soup and salad out. I asked the gentleman about it and his response was "ok" before he walked away to ask the female waitress and then came back saying "we dont do the salad anymore but you can pick from 3 types of soup". I chose the hot and sour soup. He rushed in the back to get it and brought a bowl of crispy croutons with the soup. Then apologized for not knowing the menu as he was new.
  
  Overall, the food was good. I'd probably be willing to try this place again, just not the sushi/sashimi. The texture wasnt very pleasant and it felt like the fish had been sitting out too long, or not kept cold enough.

  It was ok.  I was out on the west side running some errands, and feeling nostalgic for Mark Pi's Tofu Delight.  It was a fairly regular "treat" for me and my vegetarian diet in college at Kent State and when I found out there was a Mark Pi's in the area I filed that info away for when the mood struck.  Anyhow I went in for lunch and sadly that item is not on the limited lunch menu.  That's OK, I found something I liked, but I didn't get to scratch that nostalgia itch.  I thought it was weird that I wasn't given the option to tip on the credit card, but I'm not that broken up about that.  Cash still works.
  
  So the long and the short of it is that I'm gonna have to go back in the evening for a meal so I can finally get that item.  I'm sure I'll be both disappointed that it doesn't live up to fond memories and totally satisfied anyway.  Looking forward to it.

  I gave 4 stars just bc umi sushi is my favorite & they get 5 stars. Good tue sushi deal 3 tekka (tuna) rolls for $11 lunch. See photo more than I could finish but I had the Bro with me to smash it. Great fresh sushi.
  
  Bro had Szechuan beef. Liked it & good looking presentation. Mama-San is funny & loved that we are twins. Been here a few times CHINA IS HERE MR BURTON.

  The owner is so kind and always greets us! The ingredients are incredibly fresh! Some of the sauces are a bit too sweet for me, I'm more into savory dishes. The sushi is fresh, too! All in all, it's a great place!
